- Advising with a view to optimising the payment of taxes and duties
- Advising and representing clients in tax procedures and processes, in particular before the tax authorities
- Advising and representing clients in matters of commercial law, in particular
- restructuring enterprises, businesses and estates (mergers, splittings and reorganisations),
- employee participation, - succession regulation, - sale and purchase of enterprises and businesses, - founding enterprises and businesses, - drawing up contracts
- such as labour law, tenancy law, marriage property and inheritance law, property and liability law.
- Representing clients in commercial law disputes settled in and out of court (claim and inheritance disputes, labour and tenancy disputes, etc.)
- Member of the Board of Directors and Board of Trustees

- Member of various commissions of the Civic Community of Bern (esp. the Finance Commission)
- Auditor for the Lake Thun Yacht Club
- Co-author of the Practitioner’s Commentary on Tax Law in the Canton of Bern
- Member of various associations (Lake Thun Yacht Club, Altherr der Zofingia, Reismusketen der Stadt Bern, etc.)
Education
- Studied law at the University of Bern, with internship at the Tax Appeal Commission, the District Court and Government Offices in Saanen, and in a medium-sized Bernese law firm (1990-1996)
- Admitted to the Bar in 1996
- Attended the Tax Academy part-time while working for a large trust corporation (1997-2000)
- Gained the Federal Swiss Tax Expert Diploma (2000)
- Worked in a medium-sized Bernese law firm (2001-2002)
- Partner as attorney-at-law (since 2002)
